Angela and Bruce offer the epitome of hospitality.
My husband and I have been lucky enough to have stayed at "Above the Lake" twice with it's beautifully appointed and decorated bedroom and it's wonderful views of Lake Taupo. Each day a breakfast delight awaits you before you set off to the many activities Taupo has to offer.
We took advantage of the Mineral Hot Pools Spa by having an amazing massage, sorely needed after having driven several thousand klms over three weeks.
We came back to settle down in their company to have several glasses of fine wine, cheese and great conversation with Angela and Bruce.
Dog Lovers be aware: Koda their beautiful Golden Retriever if allowed will be more than happy to share his love of fetching whatever you care to throw for him. You will wear out before he will.

Thank you so much Angela and Bruce for the most perfect stay at your B&B this August.
What a location you have just Above the Lake (Taupo). Your suites are lush and very nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the living area very homely. This truly is a home away from home.
We took a fishing trip on our last day there, oh by the way we decided on staying an extra two days as this place is heaven. The fishing trip was great. I would recommend at lease 3 or 4 hours on this trip with Angela and Bruce on their very own Charter Boat. They will take you out and will almost guarantee that you catch some Trout. We caught 7 in the time we were on the lake and they even setup a BBQ at the back of the boat and cook the Trout you just caught right before you. It was amazing. The boat has everything you need from a shower and toilet to a pro setup of fishing gear, right from the best rods and reels to down riggers so you have an excellent days fishing.
The main stretch of the town has everything you need and there is so much to see just a short drive away (Huka Falls, Rotorua, Tongariro National Park and more)
Just next door is a lovely restaurant that serves excellent food day and night.
What an amazing time we had and we would or should I say we will be back and will try and send as many people here that we know are going to New Zealand because we would want them to experience everything that we did at Above the Lake with Windsor Charters.
