Winter 2010  Trout Fishing and/or Accommodation Report.

 Summer  is a thing of the past. Winter is in full swing.
Temperatures in the lake and on land are providing holiday makers with perfect conditions. Wind is just 1 Kph this morning. Temp expected to be 14 degrees Celsuis.
This means a great  winter day out on the lake.
Looking out of my lounge window, the lake is magical and calling me to go and play.
Looking down to Tongariro National Park, the mountains are stunningly beautiful. Fresh snow covering
the three sacred peaks. Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Tongariro.

For the fisho's out there. The catch rates over the last two months have been particularly good.
On every charter, a tasty trout has been bought back to shore for the table. Best size, 7lb brown caught by
a visitor from USA.
We have two fantastic  restaurants in Taupo that we always recommend where you can BYO trout. Remember, you can not buy trout in NZ. You must catch it your self. If you are planning to stay at our B&B, Bruce would be happy to prepare it for your breakfast the following morning should you wish.

We  anticipate a good  season on the lake. While you are on our website, click
on accommodation and check out our Winter Accommodation.  If the dates you are interested in show up green, we have 3 rooms available. If it shows up half red, we can accommodate up to 4 adults.
We look forward to your company, either on our charter boat or in our home.
 
The two of us, after several very enjoyable years looking after our guests, have decided to retire.
Your new hosts from October 2010  will be Maggie and Ivan Rudd.
Maggie and Ivan are moving to Taupo from the UK and will be the new owners of our B&B and our Charter boat Fish'N'Fun.
They have promised us, they will look after all our valued guests and fishermen.
Ivan has been an accountant in the UK, but has been a fisherman since the age of four.
We will leave you to work out how long that is when you meet Ivan.
Maggie has had a background in catering, having run a successful catering business in the UK for over 20 years.

They both enjoy meeting people and are looking forward to this change in their lives.

Their other passion is golf. They look forward to introducing golf breaks to the business.

Maggie and Ivan arrive from the UK in September and, once settled in, will be delighted to look after your holiday needs.
